Substance
Abuse Treatment at Dao
Substance abuse treatment at Dao starts with a
psychosocial interview to determine what level of care the client needs. If
the client has a substance abuse diagnosis and can be treated in an outpatient
setting, a referral will be made to the appropriate group. If the client needs
more intensive services, he/she will be referred elsewhere. If the client can
benefit from medications to help maintain abstinence, a referral is given.
Individual counseling is an option for substance abuse treatment, but group
treatment is strongly suggested.
